Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted dependent on experience; strong Med-Surg/Telemetry background required. Experience reading telemetry strips. Chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, drains and tubes, PCA pumps, and gtts management including Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin.

Unit Details: General medicine patient population including DM, GI, respiratory, and renal. Wounds/dressing changes and lab draws. CNA ratio 1:9-10. Phlebotomy is a shared RN responsibility; no IV/VAT team. Centralized telemetry. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell. Department support includes CNAs, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, rapid response team, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Floating may include 8 Reynolds, 8 North, 9 North A/B, ACE, 9 Ardmore, 10 Ardmore, 8 North-B, and 8 Ardmore.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
