Production Operator

Production / Extrusion Operators

We are currently looking for Production / Extrusion Operators for contract roles in Ringwood, ILL.

1. Equipment & Process Operation

• Experience running manufacturing equipment (extrusion preferred but not required)
• Exposure to mixing, blending, granulation, or packaging
• Ability to follow batch processes and SOPs

2. Mechanical Aptitude & Troubleshooting

• Ability to identify process issues and make adjustments
• Strong hands-on problem solving
• Understanding of equipment behavior under different conditions

3. Quality & Documentation Discipline

• Perform basic quality checks and interpret results
• Complete production paperwork and data entry accurately
• Spot errors, deviations, or inconsistencies

4. Attention to Detail

• Verify raw materials, labeling, and batch documentation
• Catch mistakes before impacting production

5. Team & Communication Skills

• Work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams
• Basic verbal and written communication

6. Manufacturing Experience

• 2+ years in manufacturing (chemical or processing preferred)
• Understanding of production flow, safety, and shift work

7. Material Handling / Physical Capability

• Comfortable with lifting up to 55 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and work 12-hour shifts
• Forklift experience preferred (can train)

8. Schedule Flexibility

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
• Overtime flexibility

9. Safety Mindset

• Adherence to PPE, EHS standards, and plant procedures

Supplier Screening Priorities

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years manufacturing experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work rotating shifts
• Strong attention to detail

Strong Preferences:

• Extrusion or process manufacturing experience
• Chemical or plastics background
• Quality control/documentation experience

Nice-to-Have:

• Forklift experience ++
• Batch processing exposure

Hourly wage: +/- $25#INDW
