We are seeking a reliable and responsible CDL A Driver who can commute to the Jamaica, Queens area. MUST HAVE A CLEAN ABSTRACT. This role is crucial for the efficient transport and delivery of freight from JFK Airport to various warehouses and drop-off locations, primarily within Nassau County, including Huntington and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can manage their route independently while maintaining consistent contact with the team. Responsibilities

• Freight Transportation: Safely and efficiently transport freight from JFK Airport to various warehouse locations and client drop-offs, primarily in Nassau County.
• Morning Operations: Start the day by picking up reports and driving to designated warehouses at JFK to collect freights.
• Warehouse Logistics: Back the truck up at drop-off locations to allow the warehouse team to unload items, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Vehicle Operation: Operate a variety of company vehicles, including box trucks (both manual and automatic) and, on occasion, an automatic 53-foot trailer.
• Documentation: Ensure all delivery and pickup reports are accurately completed and submitted.
• Communication: Maintain open and consistent communication with the team, providing regular updates on your location and the status of deliveries.
• Adherence to Standards: Exhibit a high level of responsibility and reliability, completing all tasks in a timely and professional manner.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 11 hrs of overtime per week

• CDL A (3 years of experience is required)
• 53 Foot Truck and Trailer (3 years of experience is required)
• 28 Foot Box Truck (2 years of experience is required)
• Forklift (1 year of experience is preferred)
