Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)
We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDCs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As an LCDC contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including outpatient treatment centers, residential facilities, hospitals, community health organizations, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide counseling and support to clients and their families, addressing substance abuse issues, co-occurring disorders, and related challenges.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducational workshops, and support groups for clients in recovery.
- Monitor clients' progress in treatment, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed to promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Stay current on developments in the field of addiction counseling and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in the state(s) of practice.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the field of substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction counseling, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and relapse prevention strategies.
- Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of client care.
