Lead Securities Operations Specialist - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Securities Operations Specialist - Hybrid for a 6+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.

In this role, you will lead complex lifecycle initiatives within Securities Operations, focusing on process improvements and AI-enabled optimization. You will review and analyze multifaceted operational challenges, collaborate with peers and management to resolve issues, and translate operational processes into structured, scalable frameworks that support AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex lifecycle initiatives and support tasks, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact, and act as a key participant in large-scale planning and deliverables
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within Securities Operations, including AI-enabled optimization
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term operational tasks or challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
• Make decisions in complex situations related to full trade processes while leveraging a strong understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Translate operational processes into structured, scalable frameworks that support consistency, knowledge reuse, and AI-driven solutions
• Manage and develop expertise in key operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
• Resolve complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Securities Operations
• Research complex business risks, develop policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time-sensitive documents and transaction requests
• Exercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement and influence workflow controls to minimize the effects of operational breakdowns

Requirements:

• 5 years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Prompt Engineering and AI Enablement (Copilot or similar tools) with the ability to design structured prompts with clear rules, constraints, and guardrails
• Operational Process Mapping and Analysis: Strong ability to break down complex operational workflows into structured, repeatable frameworks
• Data Structuring and Knowledge Management (Excel or similar tools): Experience organizing and normalizing data into structured formats
• Securities Operations and Trade Lifecycle Expertise: Deep understanding of trade processing, settlement, and operational risk controls
• Analytical Problem Solving and Risk Management: Ability to assess complex operational issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions

Desired skills:

• Experience implementing AI or Copilot solutions in an operational environment
• Contact Center or Frontline Support Experience
• Experience with automation or workflow tools (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint, knowledge bases)
• Previous experience in the financial services industry is considered a strong asset

Pay range: $ 43.13 - $51.13 per hour
