Lead Electrician

Atigun Group is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to lead all electrical maintenance and repair in a multi-site federal facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Full Maintenance contract supporting a Government Campus in Edison, NJ. This role has full responsibility for electrical services throughout the campus and works directly for the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Provide full lifecycle management of O&M, custodial, and maintenance operations across multiple federal facilities Installation and diagnostics expert: Installs and troubleshoots lighting (fixtures, ballasts/LED drivers), motors/VFDs, MCCs, sanitary pump controls, breakers/fuses, and lab circuits (isolated grounds, clean power); executes modernization of distribution systems, CMMS-driven PMs, detailed as-builts, and strict code/safety compliance. Oversee: Preventive and corrective maintenance programs Quality Control (QC) and inspections Ensure compliance with: NJ and NEC/NFPA regulations Safety, environmental, and training requirements Manage subcontractors and vendors Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years as a licensed electrician in the state of NJ with experience in secondary power operations with deep NEC/NFPA 70 and 70E knowledge, managing continuous O&M, alterations, and repairs of feeders, switchgear, panelboards, and branch/specialty circuits for commercial and laboratory applications; Critical power specialist: Preventive/corrective maintenance of uninterrupted power supply, UPS, (batteries, capacitors, fans, calibration, power-quality analysis), emergency generators and ATS; conducts IR thermography, load-bank/transfer testing, and integrates monitoring for high reliability. Demonstrated experience managing: Federal, commercial, or institutional buildings electrical systems of similar size/complexity Strong knowledge of: Mechanical systems (HVAC, boilers, chillers) Preventive maintenance programs Experience interpreting: Technical specifications Blueprints and construction documents Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Background in multi-building portfolios Licensed electrician in the state of NJ Atigun Group, Inc. offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and long-term success of our employees and their families.
