Reporting to the Product Management team, the Product Compliance Associate supports ChemTreat's product compliance program by performing structured compliance assignments for our water treatment chemical products. Working under the guidance of experienced Analysts and Specialists, this role maintains compliance records, supports customer requests, and helps prepare regulatory and hazard communication documentation, making it an ideal opportunity to build a career in chemical regulatory compliance.

This position is located at our Glen Allen, VA office.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like:

• Maintaining product, raw material, supplier, certificate, and regulatory information in approved systems of record using established procedures.

• Preparing, authoring, and publishing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other hazard communication documents for the United States and assigned international locations.

• Compiling and organizing information for product technical files, customer compliance requests, registrations, reports, applications, and notifications.

• Processing routine customer and internal requests for existing products using approved statements, certificates, and reports.

• Supporting tank and state registration activities, product listings, and recurring compliance reporting.

• Reviewing information for completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and escalating non-standard questions to an Analyst, Specialist, or manager.

• Tracking assigned work, due dates, and required records to support timely completion and audit readiness.

• Communicating compliance information clearly to internal partners and external customers.

• Applying continuous improvement principles to enhance quality, accuracy, service, and cycle time.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Foundational understanding of chemical product compliance, hazard communication, and controlled documentation.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, records management, and data quality.

• Ability to follow established procedures, use checklists, and manage multiple structured assignments accurately.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn regulatory databases and document management systems.

Preferred Experience

• Internship, laboratory, quality, customer service, EHS, or regulated-industry experience.

• Experience with Safety Data Sheets, chemical documentation, or regulatory databases.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 USD per year.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
