About the Clinician's Workday

The nephrologist will provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology coverage Monday through Saturday at an on-site facility in NY from September 25 through October 5. The clinician will arrive at approximately 7:00 AM on scheduled days to evaluate inpatient dialysis patients, write notes, and enter orders to initiate dialysis by the start of the 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM dialysis window. A 2-bed inpatient dialysis unit is available for stable patients, while CCU patients requiring dialysis are treated within the CCU during the same timeframe. Inpatient consult volume is variable. Outpatient office coverage Monday through Friday is supported by a nurse practitioner. Overnight call may be required and is handled remotely by phone. Board certification or true board eligibility in Nephrology and an active NY license are required.
