Pile Driver
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience with pipe piles, sheet piles, h-piles, and concrete piles preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental program.
- Safely installs steel, concrete, timber, sheet, pipe, and other types of piles in accordance with project specifications.
- Assists with the layout, positioning, aligment, and installation of piles.
- Reads and interprets project plans, drawings, specifications, and pile-driving requirements.
- Inspects equipment, tools, rigging, and wokr areas before beginning operations.
- Sets up, assembles, and dismantels pile-driving equipment and associated components.
- Operates cranes and other heavy equipment as qualified and directed.
- Monitors pile alignment, depth, location, and installation to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Works closely and maintains communication with crew members, operators, foremen, surveyors, and Project Managers.
- Uses hand and power tools to assist with pipe prepation, cutting, splicing, welding, and installation as required.
- Identifies and reports unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or potential hazards to supervision.
- Operates equipment on public roadways as necessary, maintaining proper awareness of one’s surroundings.
- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
- Performs other duties or tasks as required based on company’s needs.
