Job Title
Responsibilities
- Close the Books: Perform data entry, reconcile accounts, and complete necessary journal entries, adjustments, and month-end procedures.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Project Management: Coordinate and track tasks and assignments to ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
- Audit Management: Oversee audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for audit-related activities.
- HR Oversight: Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and workers' compensation compliance.
Qualifications / Qualities
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required: Sage Intacct, McLeod, Alvys, ADP, Brex, bank reconciliations, or logistics-related environments (trucking or brokerage).
- Fluency in Spanish or knowledge of Mexican accounting practices, tax regulations, and payroll laws are strong advantages.
- Willingness to travel occasionally; regular travel is not expected.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to shift priorities as business needs and deadlines evolve.
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Enjoys problem-solving.
