As the business continues to expand through organic growth and acquisitions, they are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, ERP Applications to lead the strategy, implementation, optimization, and support of their enterprise ERP environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, ERP Applications will serve as the enterprise lead for the organization's Global Shop ERP platform, supporting multiple manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for driving ERP strategy, overseeing implementations, optimizing system performance, supporting key business processes, and ensuring the platform effectively supports operational objectives.

The ideal candidate combines deep ERP expertise with strong business acumen and project leadership capabilities. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can successfully manage system configurations, reporting, integrations, vendor relationships, implementations, and end-user enablement across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Strategy & Leadership

• Serve as the enterprise owner and primary expert for the Global Shop ERP platform.
• Develop and execute ERP roadmaps aligned with operational and business goals.
• Establish long-term governance, support models, and application management standards.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology optimization.

ERP Implementations & Enhancements

• Lead end-to-end ERP implementations, including planning, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Manage implementation timelines, project risks, resource plans, communications, and issue resolution.
• Support newly acquired businesses and future ERP expansion initiatives.
• Coordinate software updates, upgrades, patches, and enhancement activities.

Technical Administration & Support

• Configure and maintain ERP functionality supporting manufacturing, production scheduling, engineering, purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, integration failures, performance challenges, and data quality concerns.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams and external partners to support integrations with enterprise applications and supporting systems.
• Oversee ERP security, user provisioning, and system administration activities.

Reporting & Analytics

• Design, develop, and maintain PSQL queries, operational reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
• Provide reporting solutions that support executive decision-making and operational visibility.
• Partner with business leaders to improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility throughout the organization.

Training & Vendor Management

• Deliver training programs and ongoing support for ERP users across multiple business locations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, user guides, and process documentation.
• Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation consultants, and integration partners.
• Mentor ERP team members while promoting best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Travel

• Travel to manufacturing and operational sites as needed to support implementations, training initiatives, and business operations (approximately 10-20%).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
• 7+ years of ERP application experience within manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Global Shop ERP experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple full-cycle ERP implementations.
• Strong experience managing third-party vendors, software providers, and implementation consultants.
• Prior experience leading teams or supervising ERP support personnel preferred.
• Advanced functional and technical expertise with Global Shop ERP.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations including production planning, inventory control, procurement, warehouse management, and shop floor execution.
• Advanced PSQL query development and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, analytics, and data extraction solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot ERP integrations and coordinate with external integration partners.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP security, user administration, and configuration management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and implementation best practices.
