Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in acute care License: Iowa RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: - Emergency room experience Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The patient population primarily includes adults. The department has 17 beds with an average of 40 visits per day. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. The facility offers various services including critical care, med/surg, and pediatrics. Candidates must complete a criminal background check and child abuse clearance. A mandatory reporter certification for child and adult is required. A 10-panel drug test, including opiates, must be passed. Titers must be current from the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB. Candidates should possess skills in acute care and emergency services. Additional preferred skills include travel experience. Weekend work is required every other weekend. There are no call requirements for this position. The equipment used includes an electronic health record system. The average daily patient visits and the department's capabilities indicate a fast-paced environment.
