CNC Machinist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture aerospace components to blueprint specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work orders, and process documentation.
• Perform machine offsets and make tooling adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor production runs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry quality standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and traceability records.
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues and coordinate corrective actions when needed.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced machine operators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with OSHA and company standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.
