Citrus Tree Hand Sprayer (Oxnard)

Job Type: FULL-TIME Rate: $17.50 per hour Hours: 5am-1:30 with over time as needed About the Role We’re looking for a reliable and safety-minded Citrus Hand Sprayer to join our team. Under the direction of the Citrus Supervisor or Foreman, this position is responsible for applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides to citrus trees using hand spray equipment. Job Responsibilities Apply materials safely and accurately using hoses, nozzles, spray trucks, and portable spray equipment. Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE (goggles, respirator, gloves, boots, helmet, and coveralls) Mix and fill sprayer tanks according to established formulas. Inspect, clean, and maintain all spray equipment to ensure proper function. Perform minor repairs to hoses or couplings. Load and unload trucks with tools and supplies. Drive and maintain assigned truck. Provide excellent service and teamwork on every job site. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to read and recognize hazard and safety signs. Valid, non-restricted California Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a health exam confirming fitness to wear a respirator and other PPE. Must participate in cholinesterase monitoring as required for pesticide handlers. Ability to lift and drag a 375-foot hose filled with liquid across uneven ground for extended periods. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Regular walking, standing, reaching, and occasional climbing or balancing.
