Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, using clinically appropriate tools to evaluate their physical capabilities and therapy needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on enhancing strength, mobility, and overall functional independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Regularly monitor patient progress and document outcomes, making adjustments to treatment plans as required to ensure optimal recovery.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, involving physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident's condition.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs and strategies to maintain health improvements after therapy ends.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as professional ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with residents in our rehabilitation facility, many of whom have complex healthcare needs, including recovery from surgery, physical injuries, or chronic conditions. Our focus includes the elderly population, requiring a deep understanding of geriatric care practices and rehabilitation goals aimed at improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Oasis Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
