About the Role
A real estate family office is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Assist Controller with management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely financial statements
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual audits
- Support month-end and year-end close process including cash reconciliations
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Tenant CAM & Real Estate Tax Reconciliations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
- 4-12 years experience in accounting
- Experience with Yardi or MRI
- Commercial property accounting experience required
