Long-term minded — You're looking to become a valued, trusted part of a household and are excited about building a lasting relationship with a family.Key Responsibilities Meal Planning & Prep Own weekly meal planning for approximately four dinners per week, developed in collaboration with the familyDevelop a predictable weekly meal rotation (i.e. thematic structure) to support a child with food preferences and reduce decision fatigueGrocery shopping via delivery, pickup, or in-store; consistent pantry and fridge restocking and cleanoutIngredient prep: chopping, peeling, portioning, marinating proteins, and ensuring all components are ready for the family to cook dinnerBatch cooking for breakfasts and snacks a few times per weekKitchen cleanup and maintenance; keeping the kitchen in a state where cooking is easy and inviting Household Organization & Maintenance Daily resets: dishes, surfaces, light tidying, and vacuuming of high-traffic areasPrep home for bi-weekly housekeeping visitsCreate and maintain organizational systems throughout the home (children's rooms, laundry area, closets)Seasonal clothing swaps, holiday decoration setup and takedown (including post-holiday Christmas pack-up), and children's clothing organizationRoutine home upkeep: replacing batteries, light bulbs, air filters, and smoke detectorsPacking and unpacking for family travel, including children's bags and gear Vendor & Property Oversight Serve as the primary point of contact for all home vendors and contractors; coordinate access, oversee work, and report back to the familyResearch vendors, gather quotes, and present options for repairs and projectsBuild and manage a yearly home maintenance calendar covering HVAC, security systems, pool, filters, and seasonal upkeepOutdoor space management: patio resets, outdoor furniture care, cushion cleaning, and keeping shared outdoor areas tidy and functionalRemote administrative support for secondary properties (vendor coordination, annual tax paperwork, basic property admin)Full access to and management of the shared family calendar, including inputting sports schedules, activities, and appointmentsAppointment scheduling: medical, dental, personal care, and other recurring family needs Inventory & Errands Maintain and execute running household supply lists; manage subscriptions and recurring orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, Home Depot runs, post office, and pharmacy errandsMail and package intake, box breakdown, and recycling Laundry & Linens Full ownership of children's laundry and one parent's laundry: wash, fold, and organizeWeekly rotation of linens and towelsIroning, steaming, and special garment care as neededKeep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked Family Support Occasional school and activity pickup and drop-off (approximately once per week or as scheduling conflicts arise)Prepare children's bags for school, sports, and activities; confirm uniforms and gear are ready ahead of eventsReview the upcoming weekly calendar to anticipate scheduling needsBackup date night coverage as needed Pet Care Comfortable working alongside two large dogs dailyRestock monthly pet food delivery
