Talent Acquisition Specialist This job is a member of the Talent Team within the People/HR Division. This position will be responsible for delivering the best talent with the right combination of skills and experience to drive organizational impact. This role will be supporting recruiting and hiring for our inflight team. What you'll do Conduct and facilitate virtual group interviews using Microsoft Teams Lead in-person group interview sessions for a high volume of applicants, ensuring a structured, professional, and positive experience for all candidates Ensure candidates are prepared and informed about the interview process and next steps Manage the interview check-in process, including verifying candidate documents and interview confirmations Manage virtual breakout rooms while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere Ensure candidates meet or exceed the qualifications of the job description Evaluate candidates against established criteria, completing scorecards and interview guides promptly Move and status candidates through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) following interviews Collaborate with other evaluators to ensure consistent and fair candidate assessment Maintain thorough records of interview outcomes and candidate interactions Assist with administrative tasks, including organizing interview documents and preparing interview spaces Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during the interview process Ensure clear and timely communication with candidates, team members, and stakeholders Ensure all group interview procedures follow company guidelines and best practices, including compliance with legal and ethical hiring standards Serve as a brand ambassador, exemplifying the image and standards of American Airlines Develop and update interview training materials as required and conduct training sessions for new interviewers as needed Adjust interview strategies as needed to align with volumes of candidates, and shifting recruitment needs Perform other duties and tasks as assigned All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience 1+ years of experience in recruitment, interviewing, or evaluator position Understanding of how to serve as a liaison with other departments Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility Demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and resilience Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage large groups of candidates Ability to handle high-volume recruitment with professionalism and efficiency Commitment to upholding ethical and legal hiring practices Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%) Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience Prior experience with SuccessFactors or other large enterprise ATS systems Knowledge of Sabre, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, Smartsheet Skills, Licenses & Certifications Excellent teamwork skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations Operates with the highest integrity, tackles problems with ingenuity, constantly pursues excellence, and exercises kindness in all interactions Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Ability to successfully determine if candidate meets job requirements Ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, with sound judgment Ability to work with minimal supervision Maintain a neat, professional appearance Ability to make hiring decisions based on collective observations Ability to use Applicant Tracking Systems or other high-volume tracking systems Maintain data integrity in all work processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Team's Meetings Ability to flex and multitask as needed Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and evaluate diverse candidates What you'll get Travel Perks: Reach 365 destinations on more than 6,800 daily flights across our global network Health Benefits: Access to health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits on day one Wellness Programs: Tools, resources, and support to help you be the best version of yourself 401(k) Program: Available upon hire with employer contributions after one year Additional Benefits: Employee Assistance Program, pet insurance, and discounts on hotels, cars, cruises, and more From the team members we hire to the customers we serve, inclusion and diversity are the foundation of the dynamic workforce at American Airlines.
