Orthopedic Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) on a Trauma Ortho Progressive Care Unit, providing care for a variety of patients with varying medical conditions and acuity levels. The unit specializes in orthopedics and manages patients with complex medical issues and treatment plans. Position Overview The team is part of a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center and operates in a fast‑paced environment with high patient turnover. Nurses are trained to initiate and maintain IV infusions, including heparin, lasix, Cardizem, amiodarone, and PCA/CADD pumps. Work Shift Full‑Time Night (United States of America). Nights and weekend shift differential available. Responsibilities Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Perform patient care, delegate tasks to other staff, and supervise patient care staff. Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consult with other health‑care team members as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. Qualifications Less than 1 year of experience. Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross.
