$170k - $212kRevolution Medicines
Revolution Medicines is a late‑stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS‑addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, including daraxonrasib (RMC‑6236), elironrasib (RMC‑6291), zoldonrasib (RMC‑9805) and RMC‑5127, all currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity The DMPK Scientist will be a key member of the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team within the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology (NDCP) department. Specifically, you will: Serve as the DMPK representative on multidisciplinary drug discovery and development teams, driving lead identification through data‑driven decision‑making and cross‑functional collaboration. Design and execute in vitro and in vivo metabolite identification studies using liver microsomes, hepatocytes, recombinant enzymes, and biological samples (blood, plasma, tissue, urine, bile, etc.), and perform metabolite profiling and structural elucidation. Characterize major, unique, or disproportionate metabolites to support candidate selection, MIST (Metabolites in Safety Testing) analysis, and metabolite regulatory strategy. Design and perform mechanistic studies to understand metabolic pathways and enzyme kinetics; work with pharmaceutical product teams to characterize drug degradation products and impurities. Author and review DMPK sections of regulatory submissions and respond to questions from regulatory agencies. Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships across functional areas, e.g., Discovery research, Clinical Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Development, Toxicology, and Translational Research. Required Experience, Skills, and Education A highly motivated individual with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Organic Chemistry, or related field, with 8+ years of experience after graduation. Demonstrated expertise in metabolite identification, structural elucidation, and profiling using state‑of‑the‑art high‑resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). Demonstrated experience as DMPK project representative. Small molecule projects are preferred. Thorough understanding of drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, ADME principles, and regulatory guidance related to metabolite assessment in nonclinical and clinical safety studies. Demonstrated expertise in pharmacokinetic data analysis, modeling, and interpretation using PK software such as WinNonlin. Excellent verbal and written communication, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to independently design experiments, analyze data, and communicate results. Preferred Skills Prior experience with oncology drug discovery. Experience with PBPK modeling, DDI risk assessment, human PK and dose projection.
