Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.Experience RequirementsPrevious clamp truck operation experience preferred. Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.Job DutiesOperate a sit down clamp truck in the appliance division. Handle and transport appliance products safely and efficiently. Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility. Follow inventory control and warehouse procedures. Perform equipment inspections and report any issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support production and shipping operations as needed. Meet productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred. Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial. Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit Down Clamp Operator.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
