Job Title

Registered Nurse – Burn & Reconstructive / IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit, including management of off-service patients in PCU status
• Care for stroke and cardiac patients as part of the unit's off-service patient population
• Perform and assist with dressing changes and other standard unit procedures
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3–4 in collaboration with PCT and unit coordinator support
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg zones as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or a comparable acute care setting
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Burn and Reconstructive Care setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience caring for stroke and/or cardiac patient populations
• Comfort floating across PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units
