Activity DirectorWe are seeking a dedicated and energetic Activity Director to plan, organize, and lead engaging programs that promote creativity, social interaction, and physical activity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with diverse groups of people and can create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. The Activity Director will play a key role in enhancing patients' overall well-being through meaningful recreational experiences.Base Pay: $18.50/hourKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive calendar of activitiesPlan, organize, and implement daily and monthly recreational programsLead and oversee group activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, and social eventsCoordinate with staff to ensure smooth execution of programsArrange transportation and logistics for off-site activitiesMonitor participant engagement and adapt activities to varying ability levelsEnsure all safety protocols are followed by staff and participantsManage recreational spaces, equipment, and suppliesPrepare and submit budget recommendations for program needsIn healthcare settings, monitor participant health and provide updates to caregiversCollaborate with care teams to design activities aligned with individual treatment or wellness plansQualificationsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to engage and motivate individuals with varying abilitiesCreativity and enthusiasm for recreational programmingExperience in recreation, healthcare, or a related field preferredKnowledge of safety practices and group facilitationEvening and weekend work for special events throughout the yearGood people skills are a must-- you will be working closely with residents and their families as well as various community members for volunteer opportunitiesAble to be creative and think outside the boxCertification is provided by the state and paid for by MCH. Class is in Helena for the week.
