Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; will accept first-time travelers with strong experience License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Must have circulating and scrub experience for this department Description: Shock Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for rotating days with shifts of 2x8 and 2x12 hours. Two years of experience is required. First-time travelers with strong operating room experience will be considered. Weekend and on-call shifts are required. Applicants must have experience circulating and scrubbing in surgeries. The contract length is for 13 weeks. Shifts will vary, including days from 07:00 to 15:30 and evenings from 07:00 to 19:30. A minimum of one weekend shift per month is expected. Holiday shifts are also required as they fall on the schedule. Floating within the specialty and peri-operatively is necessary. On-call coverage of 36 hours within a 6-week schedule is required. Demonstrated experience with specific surgical procedures and equipment is desirable. Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 in a 9-room operating environment. Preferred experience includes working in trauma Level II facilities. Skills in various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, neurology, thoracic, vascular, and general surgeries are essential. Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including certifications and licensing, is mandatory for successful candidates.
