Job Title: Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on components according to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and written work instructions to determine welding requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and adjusting machine parameters.
• Prepare materials by cleaning, fitting, and aligning parts prior to welding to ensure proper joint fit-up.
• Apply proper welding techniques to control heat input, minimize warping, and maintain dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and appearance, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of TIG and MIG welding experience, including experience welding stainless steel.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of weld symbols and fabrication details.
• Experience preparing materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, and aligning parts.
• Basic grinding and finishing skills related to welded parts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required by the job.

This is a Permanent position based out of Humboldt, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.00/hr.
