Your tasks

• This is an entry level program looking for applicants with limited experience in the field of Mechatronics who are eager to learn on the job and obtain a associates degree at the same time.
• During the three year program you will acquire work experience and schooling at the sequentially on eight week rotations. The first year will be conducted in the apprentice training center at Brose, and Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. The following two years will be working in different technician roles to better understand mechatronics and hone your skills. Upon completion of the apprenticeship you will transfer to a department where you will start your career at Brose. There you will fulfill a two year commitment to work for Brose.
• As part of our program you will rotate between school and work for approximately eight weeks intervals for three years.
• To broaden your experience the program includes a rotation between different groups and plants within Brose.
• Depending on workload you are allowed to work while in school depending on your school schedule to allow you time to study and gain work experience.
• You will be exposed and trained on multiple design related subjects. This will include blue print reading, machine & tool, AC & DC circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding, mechanical drives, production robots, PLC programing and time management. These skills will be reinforced during your work time at Brose by using them on the job as you acquire them at school.

Your Profile

• Successfully attained a high school diploma.
• Ability to demonstrate technical skills, teamwork skills, and communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a drive to work with your hands is necessary.
• Advanced Algebra level of math, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical requirements may include lifting and carrying objects up to 20 pounds and climbing access ladders.
