Cook - Food Service / Full time

Open for dinner Tuesday - Saturday (always closed Sunday & Monday). The pantry cook prepares all cold appetizers, salads and desserts. The first part of your shift will be prepwork, including making menu items from scratch: hummus, chocolate sauce, salad dressings, etc. The kitchen is small! There is a staff meal at the end of the shift. *Duties* * Prep your work station so that you are ready to go when service begins * Handle food safely, practice safe knife skills * Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe environment * Work efficently to fulfills orders in a timely manner * Produce consistent, high quality plates according to the recipe *Skills* * Experience working in restaurants or the food industry, demonstrating strong kitchen skills * Proficiency in food handling, meal preparation, and serving with attention to detail * Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient prep and cooking tasks * Ability xmcpwfu to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards We are in the business of hospitality, which is hard and rewarding work.
