Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinator Endocrinology

Baptist Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinator – Endocrinology to join our Louisville, KY specialty pharmacy clinic team. The Coordinator serves as an extension of ambulatory clinic staff to ensure patient access to complex, high‑touch medication therapies and works under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities Collaborate with insurance companies, nursing, and social workers to obtain medication authorizations and register patients with manufacturer programs when applicable. Perform prescription billing tasks, including benefits investigations, prior authorization assistance, and identification of copay assistance options to enhance medication affordability. Track clinic intervention outcomes to monitor the value of services provided. Coordinate patient outreach for new and existing patients to maintain continuity of care and improve patient outcomes. Qualifications High School diploma or GED; pharmacy technician experience preferred. Prior experience with third‑party billing, financial counseling, or medical terminology and coding preferred. Experience with Epic electronic medical record preferred. Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy upon hire date. National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
