Aerospace Machine Shop is looking for a Quality Inspector

Salary $22-$32/hour. DOE, low end of scale typically meets minimum requirements, high end of scale exceeds requirements and experience including advanced knowledge/certifications.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts in support of an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.
- CMM and manual first part and final inspection.
- Receiving inspection of supplier furnished product and services.
- Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
- Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of CMM inspection, prior experience with PC-DMIS is preferred.
- Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with geometric dimensions & tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office. CAD skills are preferred.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years quality inspection or equivalent education and experience.
- Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Hardness and conductivity inspection is a plus.
Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, may vary.
