Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and pediatric intensive care patients with a 1:2 PICU ratio and 1:3–1:5 ratios for IMC and general pediatric patients
• Assist with and support procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
• Manage and monitor patients requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation for respiratory support
• Operate unit equipment including Hillrom beds, GE monitors, ICU Medical Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements and collaborate as part of a charge-led nursing team on nights

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Pediatric ICU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Combined pediatric and pediatric ICU clinical experience
• Experience caring for critically ill pediatric patients requiring advanced interventions such as mechanical ventilation and vasoactive medications
• Adaptable, team-oriented personality with the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
