Marine Boat Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests on marine vehicles and accurately document findings and repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on engines (inboard and outboard), electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.
• Track and record all parts and materials used during repairs or replacements.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding work progress and any issues encountered.
• Ensure all completed work meets company quality standards and is inspected by a supervisor or designated team member.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address technical challenges.
• Capacity to understand complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Experience with Mercury and Mastercraft marine vehicles is a plus, but not required—training is provided.
• Must supply own hand and shop tools.
• Willingness to achieve professional certification within 12 months and certified technician status within 24 months.

Compensation

$30.00+/hr based on experience and qualifications.
