Inventory Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time (Temp to Hire)
Reports To: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to lead a team of Inventory Control Specialists and oversee daily inventory control activities in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong inventory management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a data-driven approach to maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who is comfortable working on the warehouse floor and operating material-handling equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Inventory Control Specialists .
• Run consolidation, replenishment, and velocity reports and delegate tasks accordingly.
• Ensure daily cycle-counting activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee inventory audits and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory placement integrity to minimize disruptions to inbound and outbound operations.
• Lead workflow improvements and identify and resolve inconsistencies in product slotting.
• Develop and implement slotting strategies to improve picking accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory activity and use data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize OMS (Order Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to manage and monitor inventory.
• Ensure proper use of RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
• Operate order picker, reach truck, and sit-down forklift equipment and assist on the floor when needed.
• Train, coach, motivate, and encourage inventory team members.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with inbound, outbound, and other warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Work extended hours when necessary, during peak season.
• Perform other duties as needed to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory management and control.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Experience with OMS and WMS systems .
• Strong understanding of RF scanners and warehouse inventory functions.
• Experience with cycle counting inventory audits, replenishment, consolidation, and product slotting.
• Ability to operate order picker, reach truck, and sit-down forklift equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Data-driven approach to decision making.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies .
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and encourage team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines individually and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and warehouse protocols.
• Kitting experience is a plus.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak season.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
