The Communications and Networking business unit within the multi-Domain Operations division (MDOD) is seeking a Business Development Manager 3 to join their team. \n\nThe preferred location for this role is Huntsville, AL\n\nNorthrop Grumman is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development leader for the Space Communications and Networking business area. In this role, you\u0027ll lead a diverse portfolio of programs and pursuits while driving both the sustainment of current business development targets and the expansion of a new pipeline across DoD, commercial, and international Missile Defense markets.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Develop early-win strategies for customer outreach and targeted influence, including initial technical discussions, white paper creation, and government relations/legislative advocacy planning.\n * Manage pipeline growth by collaborating with operating units and capture teams, ensuring that customer needs are translated into tailored solutions and effective capture strategies.\n * Drive customer engagement through strategic briefings, RFI responses, and cross-functional meetings, supporting executive-level bid/no bid decisions.\n * Oversee all stages of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process, from identifying new opportunities and setting pursuit priorities to managing internal investments and ensuring successful capture outcomes.\n * Convene multi-functional teams to innovate and deliver affordable, high-quality technology and engineering solutions.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor\u2019s degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree.\n * Experience in missile defense (MD) or a related field.\n * At least 5 years in capture management, business development, and proposal development.\n * Proven ability to conduct independent initial technical and concept discussions with the satellite communications customer community.\n * Strong track record in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets.\n * Demonstrated expertise in shaping requirements, developing customer talking points, and representing the company at industry events.\n * Proficiency with CRM software and advanced data analysis.\n * An active security clearance, such as Top Secret, is required at the time of application.\n * Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Advanced degree in a STEM field or an MBA.\n * Domain expertise in MD including experience with mission, CONOPS, system design, development, and production.\n * Demonstrated experience in requirements/architecture development, MD design, mission architecting, and program management.\n * Proven ability to develop and grow business development and capture teams, implementing best practices across the organization.\n\n\n\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your multifaceted expertise in business development, capture management, and technical innovation to drive significant growth and secure a competitive edge in the evolving MD and OPIR landscape.\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
