About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. - 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. - Ability to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed. Description: Emergency Room RN required. Ratios: 1:4. First-timers are accepted. Weekly holiday shifts may be required. Skills required include cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including central line care/management. Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors is essential. Proficiency with respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients is necessary. Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage processes is expected. Preferred skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial line management. Candidates must have experience in a general emergency department, caring for both adult and pediatric patients. Basic knowledge of interpreting arterial blood gases is a plus. The facility primarily serves non-trauma emergency patients, including occasional obstetric patients. Nurses must be comfortable managing mother and baby until transfer out occurs. Regular floating to other areas may be required, as flexibility is essential. Candidates must not have any conflicts with a 75-mile radius local rule. The position involves fulfilling a full contract without cancellations mid-assignment. All candidates must complete necessary compliance documentation and training prior to starting. Modules must be completed as part of onboarding and training.
