It Field Technician

We are needing 2 IT Field Technicians starting 10/5 in Bowling Green/Toledo OH. This is field based work, working for a new gen data center. The work consists of supporting data centers on the power plant side. We need technicians with experience installing network equipment, switches, IT gear, patch panels and cabling.

The general role of a Telecom Technician is to install, maintain, and troubleshoot data network infrastructure. This includes routers, switches, and cabling. The Telecom Technician ensures reliable connectivity by performing routine maintenance, testing equipment, and resolving connectivity issues to keep network systems running efficiently.

This individual will receive guidance from leadership and should be responsive to customer questions or concerns and address any issues in a timely manner.

The Telecom Technician reports to the Electronic Security and Safety Department Manager and works primarily out of the designated area.

A. Management of IT infrastructure - Hardware setup, customer network support, Endpoint support in field.

B. Troubleshoot and support all IT connected devices

C. Remediate Security vulnerabilities and perform/request appropriate action from respective items/teams

D. Collaborate with Operations across multiple groups to meet current and future continuous improvement project goals

E. Ability to assist with deploying/troubleshooting networking solutions on premise, cloud, or hybrid.

F. Provide Technical support and on-site troubleshooting/repair for customers.

G. Responding to phone calls and texts after hours and on weekends within a timely manner

H. Experience and Skills in documenting all work performed daily to build complete customer work history

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Toledo, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
