Trauma PI Coordinator / Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator (RN), Trauma - 16479

The Trauma PI Coordinator / Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator is a professional registered nurse with responsibility, authority and accountability for the quality review regarding the delivery of care for injured patients. This nurse is responsible for monitoring, promoting and evaluating all trauma related PIPS activities in collaboration with the trauma team. This nurse will also manage trauma prevention and outreach programs. Programs will be internally and externally and developed based on patient population, community needs and prehospital needs. Must be willing to travel within the Clearfield/Jefferson County Region. Must be willing to collaborate with other businesses, EMS services and programs in the community. Qualifications CURRENT PENNSYLVANIA REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE OR TEMPORARY PRACTICE PERMIT REQUIRED. ADVANCED COMPUTER SKILLS-PROFICIENCY IN MICROSOFT OFFICE APPLICATIONS. ADVANCED CERTIFICATION REQUIRED WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE. HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR), ACLS, AND PALS CERTIFICATIONS; PARTICIPATE IN THE STN-TOPIC COURSE WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE; MAINTAIN 8 HOURS OF CONTINUING TRAUMA EDUCATION ANNUALLY; DEMONSTRATES EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION SKILLS WITH ALL MEMBERS OF THE HEALTH CARE TEAM; FAMILIARITY WITH QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PROCESSES. MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS’ NURSING EXPERIENCE AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED. BACHELOR DEGREE IN NURSING OR RELATED HEALTH CARE FIELD OR OBTAINED WITHIN 3 YEARS OF HIRE.
