Exciting Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Job Description: - Unit Summary: - 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite - Patient Ratios: - 1:1 for active labors, inductions, C-sections - 1:3 for couplet care - 1:1 for stable newborns - 1:3 for intermediate NICU care (2 NICU nurses required if more than 3 patients) - Staffing Structure: - No unit secretaries or techs available - Passionate, experienced nursing team with a combined average of 30 years’ experience - Equipment Utilized: - CPN Central monitoring - IV pumps - Infant warmers - Tele-med robot for neonatologist - Bili-blankets - PCA pumps - Documentation System: - Meditech and CPN - Scheduling Requirements: - Full-time: 3 shifts per week - Rotating weekends and holidays - Floating Policy: - Staff may float within the facility as needed - Cross-training available between LDRP and NICU - Patient Experience: - Daily rounding on all patients - SAFETY rounding - Required Skills: - Labor and delivery experience - Ability to labor and recover the mother - Assess and transition newborns - Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies - Advanced Skills: - Fetal monitoring education - Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil) - Procedures Performed: - C-sections - Circumcisions - Intra-uterine monitoring - Vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries - Certifications Required: - BLS - NRP - Fetal Monitoring training - Uniform Guidelines: - Required: Pink and/or brown scrubs - Team Environment: - 6 seasoned RNs with extensive experience, available as great resources and preceptors - Collaborative team atmosphere ready to support each other - Career Advancement: - Opportunities to gain well-rounded experience in labor, delivery, post-partum, and neonate care Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
