Certified Nursing AssistantThe Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming, is seeking qualified individuals for the full-time position of Certified Nursing Assistant. This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to help nursing staff provide quality health care for persons in a home-like setting. Agency requires a current CNA license. Knowledge of basic nursing assistant procedures and responsibilities. Knowledge and use of infection control techniques. Knowledge of using and maintaining simple nursing equipment (O2, prosthetics, lifts, etc.). Knowledge and use of good body mechanics and proper lifting techniques. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be observant and communicate subtle changes to charge nurses. Ability to use good oral and written communication skills. Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Healthcare). Experience: No prior experience is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CNA Certification OR Education & Experience Substitution: 1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Human Services) OR Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : CNA Certification.Physical working conditions: Must be able to: Lift/transfer persons to different positions. Lift persons and/or medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to approximately 50 lbs. Work holidays, evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.The position is full-time. A background information check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wyoming Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions (direct patient care positions are considered safety-sensitive).
