Manufacturing Manager- Plastics & Extrusion
West Palm Beach, FL. 120-140K
The Plastics & Extrusion Manager is responsible for overseeing plastic processing and extrusion operations to support the production of company products. This role focuses on ensuring efficient manufacturing, maintaining product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The manager leads a team, coordinates with cross-functional departments, and helps drive operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily extrusion and plastics processing activities to meet production goals and quality expectations
- Monitor operations and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize output
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of production or process issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on product requirements and production needs
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while promoting a safe and productive work environment
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
- Assist in maintaining equipment reliability and coordinating maintenance activities
- Contribute to process development and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in plastics manufacturing or extrusion processes
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- General understanding of manufacturing operations and process improvement concepts
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
