Senior Underwriter - Transactional Liability

The Opportunity Location: New York, NY Work Arrangement: hybrid working expectations Hourly Rate: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00 The purpose of this role is to underwrite new business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and service standards, while managing underwriting activities and P&L responsibility for a range of products. Additionally, the role involves maintaining relationships with intermediaries and business partners to drive underwriting service delivery, product development, and innovation. Review, evaluate and price business by applying underwriting judgment and adhering to regulations. Identify and minimize risks through due diligence and escalation of issues when necessary. Mentor junior underwriters to ensure efficient team performance. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks. Establish and maintain relationships with producers and customers. Assist with improvements in underwriting practices and pricing strategies. Research and obtain market intelligence to enhance profit goals. Contribute to special projects and department initiatives. Work Experience Necessary Work Experience includes: Some relevant work experience. Preferred Work Experience includes: Experience in the insurance industry. Qualifications Necessary Qualifications include: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
