Associate Attorney

The Atlanta, GA office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their thriving Litigation Practice . This is an opportunity to join a growing team and office, work and collaborate with experienced litigators, participate in case strategy and development, and interact with and develop firm clients.

Responsibilities:

• Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
• Consult and counsel clients, effectively communicate on cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience
• Must be an active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar
• Experience taking/leading depositions and writing reports
• Motivated in attending trial and applying litigation skills
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Eagerness and ability to contribute to litigation strategies and work collaboratively with attorneys and clients in managing cases

Compensation:

Salary starts at $135,000 , commensurate with experience, plus two bonus structures and a comprehensive benefits package
