This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Senior Structural Engineer (Water), we'll count on you to: Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexityPrior experience with water / wastewater projectsPlan and develop projects or design activitiesPlan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and techniciansServe as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of positionIndependently coordinate the work of the structural design team from schematic design through the design development and contract document phases of a project.Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team (architecture, MEP engineering, civil engineering, etc.) to lead the production of the structural deliverables for projects.Mentor and train structural interns and EITs within the department and across business groupsCoordinate workload throughout the design phases to complete the documents on schedule.Perform construction administration (CA) tasks such as submittal review, respond to requests for information (RFI’s) and other coordination tasks with contractors in the field during construction.Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents.Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations.Perform other duties as needed.
