About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** October 19, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling available with 4-week schedules**Highlights:** - Progressive care unit with 34-bed and 25-bed units featuring patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights- Advanced PCU equipment including BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, heparin and insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vacs- Procedures performed include peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, NG/Dobhoff tube insertions, and central line dressing changes- EMR system: Meditech- Tech support: 3 techs on larger unit when at full capacity, 2 techs on smaller unit- May occasionally float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors- Strong team culture with high extension rates among contract staff**Requirements:** - Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Progressive care or critical care experience preferred- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods- Stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization experience required- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred- Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes- Black scrubs required**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This PCU position offers the perfect balance of critical thinking and patient care in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
