Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 6:30 AM – End Time: 3:00 PM (end times may vary depending on procedures)

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to deliver patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
• Ensure availability and readiness of supplies and maintain timeliness of surgical cases
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases as required
• Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
• Fulfill call requirements of approximately 6–8 days per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing and circulating in a variety of surgical specialties
• Familiarity with AORN standards and surgical regulatory compliance
