Konikoff Dental Associates is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in Suffolk, VA . In this role, you will support our clinical team by delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

As a Dental Assistant , you will play an integral role in supporting both our patients and dental professionals throughout the treatment process. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

• Full-time schedule:
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Lunch 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (No lunch break)

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hands-on dental assisting experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray Certification required
• Nitrous Oxide Certification strongly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain current OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
