Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Alexandria, LA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult patients and may involve participation in emergency responses, ventilator management, airway support, blood gas analysis, and transport duties. Advanced practice skills and leadership opportunities may be available.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current RT or RCP license in good standing for the state of employment (Louisiana) required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with ventilator management, airway management, oxygen delivery systems, and blood gas collection and analysis.
• 1 - 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to participate in emergency (Code Blue/White) response and perform EKG analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospital settings caring for adult patients.
• Experience with advanced modalities such as INO, HeO2, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, and polysomnography.
• Previous shift leader or team leader experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 1900-0700.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• No on-call required.
• Floating to other locations: None.
