TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Must possess a valid nursing license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required. Must-Have: Experience in a busy emergency department setting managing high acuity patients. Must have experience with Epic charting system. Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. First-time travelers are not accepted. Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. The emergency department is a general, non-trauma unit. It is a large and busy facility with high acuity. The department is stroke and STEMI certified. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 in a 59-bed emergency room, averaging 165-175 patients per day. Staff must be able to manage various patient conditions, including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and gunshot wounds, among others. Experience with emergency medications, intubation, and triage is essential. Floating to other areas may occur within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Nurses are expected to work one major holiday if it falls during their assignment period. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the nurse is required to work two of them. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time.
