Controller

39:23 Management is seeking a Controller to join our corporate accounting team in Amarillo. This role is responsible for portfolio accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, and owner and lender reporting for assigned hotel properties and ownership entities. The Controller will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and alongside our existing Controller as a peer. As our portfolio continues to grow, the scope and complexity of this position will grow with it. The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with attention to detail, sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to understand the operations behind the numbers. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting for assigned properties and ownership entities Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and other general ledger activity Prepare owner, investor, and lender reporting packages Review hotel revenue, night audit reporting, brand statements, fees, deposits, and other property-level accounting Manage cash reporting, bank reconciliations, forecasting, and lender compliance requirements Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts in partnership with general managers and operations leadership Provide financial analysis to support operating decisions Serve as an accounting resource to hotel general managers and help them understand and own their P&L Support due diligence, entity setup, financial onboarding, and accounting integration for acquisitions Help develop scalable accounting processes as the 39:23 Management portfolio grows Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field Two or more years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle close responsibility Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles Advanced Excel skills Ability to manage multiple entities, priorities, and deadlines independently Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial results in clear, practical terms Hospitality, multi-property, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred CPA, CPA candidate, or active progress toward CPA certification preferred 39:23 Management is actively growing, and this position is designed to grow with the company.
