Application Performance Monitoring Specialist

This position will work closely with all application developers, clients, subject matter experts to recommend, design, and implement effective application performance and monitoring solutions.

This involves the use of a suite of software tools to view and diagnose an application’s speed, reliability, and other performance metrics in order to maintain an optimal level of service. This will include performance testing, synthetic monitoring, real-user monitoring, and root-cause analysis for performance and availability.

Responsibilities will include coordination of development, implementation, and on-going analysis of application monitoring. This position will provide recommendations for process improvements, application efficiencies, and optimization of resources. Responsible for creating, generating, and distributing reports and other metrics used to manage operations.

This position requires effective communication with both technical and nontechnical users to explain IT solutions.

This position is responsible for leading the testing and troubleshooting for new applications and complicated legacy application changes. This involves system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and post deployment verification planning.

This position will also be involved in divisional research and development discussions, planning and testing.

Qualifications:

Must have qualifications are 1-5. Nice to have skills are 6-10.

Minimally qualified candidates will have professional work experience in the following areas:

• Experience with performance test scripting and execution, with load testing tools such
• as JMeter, LoadRunner, Fiddler, Firebug, JProfileror other load/performance testing tool Performing automated testing and reporting results.
• Analyze system performance results, diagnose performance problems, and develop action plans based on performance testing results and performance monitoring data Respond to, triage and follow up on production alerts.
• Working experience with CI / CD Tools & DevOps Culture.: Azure Dev Ops, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or similar. Identify performance thresholds that would require scaling of environments, and make recommendations on hardware changes necessary to address increased scalability requirements Leverage APM tools in test environments Implementing APM best practices.
• This includes implementing monitoring solutions provide end-to-end monitoring of applications, helping teams with setting up effective monitors, alerts to help alert and diagnose application issues that could potentially affect the business.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Performance testing and full stack Monitoring in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in performance testing and monitoring of Web Services based environments, including but not limited to SOAP and REST services.
