Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,213 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2212.96 Opportunity: RN - Women's Services Job Details: • Full-time position requiring 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays • Work in a combined LDRP unit with 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite • Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care 1:3; newborns 1:1 until stable; NICU 1:3 intermediate care with minimum 2 NICU nurses required in unit at all times • No unit secretaries or techs available on unit • Required equipment: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps • Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN • Floating policy: if not needed on unit, staff are expected to float anywhere within the facility; some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU • Must be able to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment • Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred • Fetal monitoring education and experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) required • Procedures performed on unit include C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries • Daily rounding on all patients and SAFETY rounding required • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training • Pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy Facility: This facility is a Joint Commission certified healthcare organization with designations as a Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II NICU. The Women's Services unit is staffed by a highly experienced team, including several nurses with approximately 30 years of experience serving as resources and preceptors. The unit operates as a cohesive team and provides an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care all within one unit.
